Our journey began with a deep understanding of the foster care and youth homelessness systems, not as distant observers but as individuals who lived through them. For over a decade, our founder experienced the realities of the foster care system firsthand, spending his formative years in both foster and group homes in California. Along the way, he saw the challenges—neglect, instability, and a system stretched thin—but he also saw the possibilities. He witnessed what could happen when someone stepped up with care, guidance, and an unwavering belief in a child’s potential.

The story didn’t stop there. As a teen, homelessness became another chapter. Living in shelters alongside his mother, who struggled with addiction, he experienced the uncertainty of life on the streets and the harshness of a world that often feels stacked against you. Those years were marked by hardship but also by moments of hope, the kind that spark a vision for something greater.

That vision grew into a purpose: to create a place where youth facing similar challenges could find safety, stability, and the support they need to thrive. Over years of working with vulnerable populations in social services, we deepened our commitment to this cause, learning not just how to provide care but how to foster real, lasting change.
